Google webmaster has been introduced latest Google Seach Console Beta version, in this version most of the users facing errors like Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’ for their websites, whether the site is on WordPress or Static. This error not showing on an older version of the Google GWT(Google Webmaster Tool), If you are facing the similar issue in New beta Google search console for your sites, then here you can get solutions with easy steps which can solve within a minutes. Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’ will shown for both pages AMP and Non-AMP. This error doesn’t harm your search engine ranking but you can lose your users when your noindex pages not indexed by the Search engines. So If you want to that your website pages index then you must have to remove noindex tag from your website to get such benefits.
Why Google search console showing submitted URL marked noindex?
First of all what is noindex? Noindex is a tag which defines that search engine bots do not crawl my website pages where you have to define noindex tags in your web pages URL with a meta tag.
So if you want that any URL or pages you won’t want to show in the search engines pages then you must include noindex in that pages. The main reason is that you have added noindex in your website URLs pages, when search engine bots start crawling your website’s pages then bots detect that noindex added in your pages URL which looks like (Above added a image), so you must remove this noindex tag from your URL pages to know search engine that this page exists and online users also able to land on your site by organic search results.
If you are using WordPress or static sites then you can easily rid submitted URL marked ‘noindex’ in yoast or All in One SEO. The main reason for this error is that you have added a ‘noindex’ tag in < Meta name = so you have to remove this one to solve this error. So let’s start first, you have to log in your WordPress account with Admin. Below I’ve added steps how to solve this problem.
How to solve submitted URL marked ‘Noindex’
WordPress Yoast
Step – 1 You must logged In your WordPress site with admin.
Step – 2: If you are using Yoast SEO plugin in your WordPress site then click on the Yoast SEO plugin.
Step – 3: When you click on Yoast SEO, there are many options availble, in these options click on Search Appearance.
Step – 4: When you click on the search appearance, then a new window will open of Yoast SEO which contains tabs like General, Content types, Media, Taxonomies, Archives, Breadcrumbs and RSS.
Step – 5: For remove error from google search console submitted url marked noindex in Yoast SEO click on Content Types, here you will find three or four options like: Posts, Pages and Templates.
Step – 6: Make sure that in the Posts tab show posts in search results marked as YES all of them also for pages and templates (In templates except date). Below I’ve also added Image for more help.
Step – 7: After content types click on Taxonomies tab in the same panel.
Step – 8: In Taxonomies there are many option but you can use only categories and Tags, Make sure that your categories and tags have marked as Yes for Show in search results. Below I have added an image for the best understanding.
Step – 9: When you have done above steps click on SAVE button.
NOTE: Whatever error related to Noindex show on search console beta version, make sure that those URLs should be removed noindex tag from the website.
WordPress for All in One SEO
Step – 1: Apply Same procedure for WordPress who are using all in One SEO plugin for above-mentioned steps, For this click on All in One SEO plugin(After logged In your WordPress site with Admin).
Step – 2: Then click on General Settings, when you clicked on the General settings then new window will open, here you have to find Noindex Settings.
Step – 3: When you have to find Noindex settings, make sure that everything’s Uncheck which error is related to, Suppose Google search console showing tag URLs for Noindex then Uncheck tag option from All in One SEO plugin. Also added Image.
Step – 4: when you un-checked the box then click on Update options from bottom or top.
How to Remove URL marked noindex in static sites
First you have to log in your C-panel (Yours may be different), and then click on the file manager. If you don’t have C-panel login details then you can directly be logged through your server hosting company website. Suppose you have purchased server from GoDaddy then logged In when you logged in with your account then you can able to see Web Hosting –> click on Manage, when you clicked on manage then new window will open then click on Cpanel Admin button on top right corner. When you click, then another new window will open of Cpanel here you have to click on File manager.
If you have different hosting services, then apply same procedure as mentioned above para.
In file manager go to Public_html, here search for Header, if you find header file then first click on View, if Noindex tag occur then download the file and remove the Noindex tag from meta section which found in header section and then uploads your file on your website file manager.
Note: If you are newbie and not able to understand then you must contact to your developer team.
When you have done above steps then go to your website’s new Google search console beta (Google Webmaster) and click on Index coverage, In index coverage, you can find an error related to your websites. Here you can also see submitted URL marked noindex related error. Click on that error and after that click on validate fix error. After sometimes you got an E-mail i.e your pages have been validated and fixed.
