What is Discovered Currently Not Indexed?

This mean that your website content has been discovered (in the eyes of the search engine) by the search engine but has been not crawled or indexed or not added to the search engine database so that they can show the result in the search engine for the specific result.

In simple words if any users will fire a query on the search engine that you have targeted for particular landing page that page will not show in the search result due to indexing.

Discovered doesn’t mean your site will start ranking on the SERP, it means search engine has been recognize your site URL or site landing page which you have added on your website.

Difference Between Crawling and Indexing?

Crawling: means a crawl or spider or bot that fetch your webpage content and provide a useful information on the SERP page to the users which they are looking for their specific query.

indexing: Refers to when your website content has been crawled then indexing will happened. When your site or landing page will indexed then your website or landing page start appear on the search engine SERP page for the keywords or query.

Google Search Console is a tools that is provided by the Google to know about your site CTR, Click, Impression, Keywords Ranking, Page Experience, Location, Links, and many more things. This is a free tool you can download from the internet by searching Google Search Console.

In this process you have verify your site with help of Meta tags or Server HTML code, where you have to add HTML code on your server to get verify.

How to Fixed Discovered Currently Not Indexed in the Search Console

    Make sure that your robots meta tag must be dofollow and index tag will be added to that landing page. If you will find that there is no-index added in the robots meta tag then immediately contact to your web developer or you can fixed it with help of admin login.

So before moving forward you must have to inspect your URL to check is that URL or landing page has been indexed or not. If landing page has been indexed then move to next step, if not then click on the right side button “Request Indexing” and you are done with your work.

    When you click on request indexing after that you have to wait 2 to 3 mins then you page will index soon.

Also, sometimes if you have no idea about the writing the rule of robots . txt then you have to take help from you senior manager or you can find solution from the internet.     In rendered page you can also check the screenshots. If screen shorts are available then your URL has been indexed by the search engine but at a same time if there is no any screenshots are available that means your page is not indexed by the bot.

    To check rendered page:

    • Go to Search Console.
    • Inspect URL on Inspect section.
    • Click on Test live URL for the Indexed page.
    • Then click on “View Tested Page” to open new section.
    • If this option is not available for your page then page has been not reached to the live test.
    • At last click the screenshot tab.
